Once in a lifetime fun ride raising over £1600 for #Willdoes
Around 80 horses and riders took part in a 15-mile charity hack in Dorset today raising over £1600 for #Willdoes in support of the wellbeing of young people.
Aged from seven to over 70, the riders travelled from as far as Bridport and the other side of the New Forest and were astounded by the stunning coastal views and long canters.
Organised by Henry and Sacha Scott, the hack started at the Scott Estate near the village of Kingston around a mile inland of Dorset's Jurassic Coast with most riders taking around two hours to complete the scenic route.
Founder Lesley Paddy, who was there to see the riders off, said: “A big thanks to the Scotts and the local farmers who kindly moved livestock so we could avoid roads and ride through rolling fields and pastures, and to the stewards who kindly donated their time. We are also grateful to Busy Bees for the refreshments and to Norden and Warmwell Saddlery who donated prizes for the Lucky Dip.”
