76 golfers competing at the annual #Willdoes Golf Competition
Nearly £13,000 was raised yesterday for charity with 76 golfers competing at the annual #Willdoes Golf Competition held at the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club in Studland.
The sun shone on the 19 teams who were lucky to enjoy 18 holes on a course which offers some of the most stunning views you could ever hope for of the Purbecks.
Golf was followed by drinks and a hearty meal and auction which raised thousands of pounds for local charity #WIlldoes which supports the mental wellbeing of young people.
The biggest bids were for prizes including tickets to a Cold Play concert in 2025 and a four ball at one of the world’s most esteemed golf clubs: Old Head Golf Links in County Cork, Ireland.

The winning team ‘Birdies Boys’, fronted by Chas Kirkby, won stylish Callaway Golf Club bags, while the runners up Life of O'Reilly won putters, again kindly donated by Callaway.

While many older players dusted off their clubs to take a swing despite not having played for some time, there were some cracking shots and great play by talented players such as 20 year old and Ellie Mans. Ellie was awarded a trophy for winning #WIlldoes Young Fundraiser of the Year 2023 after skydiving out of a aeroplane raising £1820 for #Willdoes.
