#Willdoes welcomes new ambassador: Olympic gold medalist cyclist Victoria Pendleton, CBE
Former Olympic, European and Commonwealth champion Victoria Pendleton (CBE) has offered her support helping the charity to raise money to help young people in need.
With two Olympic gold medals and one silver, Pendleton is one of Great Britain's most successful female Olympians and a great asset to the charity who already has a couple of Olympic athletes as ambassadors.
Said Pendleton: “I am pleased to get involved with a local and highly motivated charity, keen to help young people become more resilient and confident using sport and the outdoors.
Pendleton represented Great Britain and England in international cycling competition winning numerous titles between 2005 and 2012. In 2008 she won the sprint in the Beijing Olympcs and in 2012 she won the gold medal in the keirin at the London Olympics, in addition to silver in the sprint.
We are really pleased that Victoria has joined the team, she has a real passion for helping and inspiring young people and we look forward to working with her.
