Thank you to Douch Family Funeral Directors who announce that they have chosen #Willdoes as their Charity of the Year 2022.
Douch Family Funeral Directors are independent funeral directors in Dorset, established for over 100 years.
Their number one priority is looking after you. They are a family run company. All their branches are independently managed – together they cover East Dorset, Poole, Wareham and the Isle of Purbeck. They offer advice and support on arranging a funeral, woodland burials, memorials, pre-paid funerals and much more. They have a long history of arranging funerals in Dorset – some of their independent funeral directors have been established since the 1800s.
We are very pleased to announce that #WillDoes is the Douch Family Charity of the Year 2022
The Willdoes2004 charity is dedicated to the memory of William Paddy, a sporty, charismatic child with a cheeky smile who grew up near Swanage, Dorset. A sensitive and empathetic kid, Will loved animals and being surrounded by them.
Sadly his life ended early at the age of 14, but his energy lives on through those who knew him and in his charity, #Willdoes. Will's mother, Les, has set up the charity to help young people who may be finding life tough, struggling to cope with daily life.
Their mission is to promote any charitable purpose (including the promotion of education, physical health, mental health and social inclusion) and contribute financially to charitable projects for the benefit of young people in Dorset and the surrounding areas. Introducing young people to sports and other activities to help them connect and engage socially, rather than retreat to more insular gaming and social media pastimes and to develop coping mechanisms to help manage anxiety and emotions, increase self-awareness, developing trust and relationships.
We will spend the next year fundraising for #WillDoes and have so much planned already! We can't wait to show you what we get up to and look forward to a great 2022

During Decemeber Douch Family Funeral Directors invited members of the community to hang Messages of Remembrance on Christmas Trees at our branches in Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Ferndown, Parkstone, Blandford & Wareham
Anyone could pop into a branch, write a message and hang it from the tree – it doesn’t matter how long ago the loved one passed away.
A tree of remembrance is a wonderful way to capture special memories and to celebrate a life
As their chosen Charity of the Year they also invited people who wished to add a bauble to the tree could do so for a donation that came to #Willdoes.
