Karl receives award for exceptional growth & commitment to their personal development

Congratulations to Karl Jenkins who was awarded The Pamela Almond Changing Lives through Horses Achieve Award at the The British Horse Society Annual Awards Ceremony at Newbury Racecourse on Thursday 4th November. The award was presented by BHS President Martin Clunes and in the presence of HRH Princess Anne.

The award is for showing exceptional growth and commitment to their personal development.

#Willdoes helped Karl when he was battling with mental health problems and with his love of horses we put him in touch with RAC Saddle Club Bovington where he completed the BHS's Changing Live through Horses programme and landed an apprenticeship with them.

Lesley Buchanan, founder of #Willdoes and Stephanie Buchanan, manager of #racsaddleclub said, "We are so proud of Karl and of how far he has come. This award was very well deserved! It was a brilliant day and we were so pleased to be there with you to share this special day. Well done, Karl!"
